🍞 Sourdough Bread Workshop at La Levainière Bakehouse

Join Audrey at La Levainière Bakehouse for an in-depth and hands-on Sourdough Bread Workshop— perfect for anyone who wants to understand and master the art of naturally leavened bread.

What to Expect

Each participant will mix their own sourdough bread dough by hand in a bowl while Audrey guides you through every step of the process.

Together, we’ll explore:

• What sourdough is and how natural fermentation works

• How to feed, maintain, and use a sourdough starter

• How to mix, stretch and fold (or coil fold), and develop gluten properly, shape your dough

• How to understand fermentation and cold proofing

• What to look for before baking and how to bake your loaf to perfection

You’ll also bake a sourdough loaf prepared in advance, so you can see exactly how the dough should look and feel when it’s ready to bake — and taste the finished result!

At the end, you will have a dough to bring home and bake the next day.
