Class Description
Learn basic knife skill and classic kitchen cuts. This is a hands-on class with lots of practice prepping ingredients, then prepare four dishes with what you've prepared!
We will also be chatting with CCS Knife Company via Zoom Meeting on the importance of a sharp knife in your kitchen and they will inform you the different styles of knives.
What to Expect
- Class Time 2 Hours
- 4 Dishes
- There is lots of participation so be prepared with comfortable shoes for lots of standing time. Also please have hair pulled back
- Food Guidelines have various food allergens in them. Please let us know ahead of time of any food allergies and we will try our best to accommodate
- Cutting Boards, Knives, Aprons, Cooking Pans and Utensils will be provided.
Class Syllabus
- Learn about different types of knives and how each is used. Find the right knife for you. Less is more.
- Learn how to hold a knife property.
- Learn to Dice, Chop, Julienne, Mince and Chiffonade with confidence and speed.
- Prepare 5 dishes with prepped ingredients
- Proper care for your knives
