Class Description
We will be chatting with CCS Knife Company via Zoom Meeting on the importance of a sharp knife in your kitchen and they will inform you the different styles of knives.
Learn basic knife skill and classic kitchen cuts. This is a hands-on class with lots of practice. Then participate in preparing 4 dishes with all the prepped ingredients.
What to Expect
- Class Time 2 Hours
- 4 Dishes
- There is lots of participation so be prepared with comfortable shoes for lots of standing time. Also please have hair pulled back
- Food Guidelines have various food allergens in them. Please let us know ahead of time of any food allergies and we will try our best to accommodate
- Cutting Boards, Knives, Aprons, Cooking Pans and Utensils will be provided.
Class Syllabus
- Learn about different types of knives and how each is used. Find the right knife for you. Less is more.
- Learn how to hold a knife property.
- Learn to Dice, Chop, Julienne, Mince and Chiffonade with confidence and speed.
- Prepare 5 dishes with prepped ingredients
- Proper care for your knives
