March with Bi+ Pride Victoria at Midsumma Pride March 2025
Description
Midsumma Pride March will return on Sunday 2 February 2025, and we've registered a bi+ contingent so we can all show our pride and ensure the visibility of Victoria's vibrant multi-gender attracted community!
The day will begin early, at Ian Johnson Oval in St Kilda. Map of muster location
We have now been assigned to Wave E, "Queer Community Groups and Organisations", and our muster time to arrive at the oval is 10.00am. We will then spend a fun hour or two on the oval, bonding with our bi+ community and waiting patiently for our turn to march. Use this time to get bedazzled with face paint or makeup if you like!
The march itself takes approximately half an hour, as we walk, dance, roll and party our way down Fitzroy Street.
The march ends in Catani Gardens, St Kilda. Our group will pause to take a bi+ community photo (optional), which will conclude the formalities for the day. You are then welcome to explore the free entertainment and festivities on offer, including food trucks, DJs and live performances, all by the iconic St Kilda beachside.
Please register using the Humanitix link for your free ticket, so we can communicate with you as details firm up. Registration is essential for us to obtain the correct number of participant wristbands from Midsumma.
Dress Code:
Bi, Pan, Omni, MGA colours! Importantly, participants in the march must not wear formal workplace uniforms.
What to bring:
Signs, Banners, Flags, Pom Poms - anything you like to wave around, or nothing at all. Sunscreen, water and snacks are highly recommended.
Accessibility:
There are accessible drop-off areas for both marchers and those watching. A dedicated Accessibility Marquee will be positioned beside the starting point of the parade, where people with personal mobility devices can assemble to join the group as the march commences. We will have volunteers to guide you through this process. All official proceedings conducted by Midsumma will be Auslan interpreted. If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out to us at melbournebinetwork@gmail.com or admin@bi-alliance.org.
Please refer to the Midsumma website for a full guide to the day: Midsumma Guide.
