BACKSTORY Over the past year SOUNDWAVES SINGING STUDIO has held songwriting workshops and private recording sessions in their regional hometown – DUNSBOROUGH WA. Sussane Siegrist, principal of SWS studio, brought over the amazing Aria Award winning Producer and Songwriter Audius Mtawarira, 5 times in just over a year to record one on one with students! He was inspired by our very own Busselton vocal student, Phoebe Stewart, runner up from 2023 Australian idol. He enjoyed working with this enthusiastic bunch full of talent and fresh ideas. The songs produced were of such a high calibre that we all just wanted to share the works – thus the idea of the TOUR was born.
THE DREAM Your help supports these local talents’ dreams. The region tour, inland from the southwest (including but not limited to, shires of Manjimup and Bridgetown -Greenbushes) will give 13 original emerging artists a week of invaluable experience. Travelling to primary schools in the area, they will host their own concerts, promote and perform their works, mentor the primary students, learn about the sound set up and encourage future regional students interested in Music all whilst experiencing “tour” life.
This will be known as the SHINE PROJECT -THE SONGWRITER TOUR. It will be the first of two big projects SWS Studio has planned for 2025. All monies donated goes directly to the PROJECTS giving our original musicians an opportunity of a lifetime. We thank you for supporting our local youths in their musical adventure.
