Experience award-winning flamenco singer Maria José and Aotearoa's premier flamenco guitarist, Paul Bosauder, in a one-night-only performance of Andalusian flamenco cante and guitar that promises an unforgettable evening of passion and artistry.
MarĂa JosĂ© PĂ©rez RodrĂguez is one of Spain's top flamenco singers. Born in Almeria, Spain in 1985, she started performing at a young age and has since appeared at major flamenco events throughout Spain. Currently visiting Aotearoa, New Zealand to perform with NZSO, she will perform a one-night-only intimate flamenco recital accompanied by flamenco guitarist Paul Bosauder, at Pah Homestead.
She (Maria) possesses a clean, brilliant, vigorous voice and rich in nuances, presenting in her performances a very flamenco phrasing and an extraordinary knowledge of the different styles she performs, always in the most orthodox and classic style, with commendable honesty.”
