Geographe Bay under the microscope

Join GeoCatch and guest speakers to hear about the latest scientific research being conducted in Geographe Bay.

Scientists from Edith Cowan University and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) have been taking a close look at the health of the Geographe Bay marine environment and will present their findings at the community seminar ‘Marine Matters’ on 25th July. Hosted by GeoCatch, Marine Matters will deliver the latest findings from cutting-edge scientific research programs conducted in Geographe Bay.

Presentations will include:

Edith Cowan University, presenting findings on 13 years of seagrass research in Geographe Bay
Ngari Capes Marine Park Scientist Tanika Shalders, DBCA
OzFish Program Manager for WA Steve Pursell, presenting on seagrass restoration and fish hotels for freshwater fish and marron.
Director / Chair Geographe Marine Research Ian Wiese, presenting on whale research in Geographe Bay.

Arrive from 5.30 pm for registration, tea and coffee, and finger food. Speakers and question time 6-8pm.

Registration is essential for catering purposes.
