Marine Radio Courses, VHF, SROCP & LROCP

The Power Boat Committee has arranged for several VHF and both SROCP and LROCP radio licence to be held at Main Beach
- VHF Radio course, this is the Australian Water Qualification Certificate
- The Short-range radio course, SROCP license. This is a licence issued by the Australian Maritime College.
- The Long-range radio course, LROCP license also issued by the AMC.
These licenses are COMPULSORY and fines do apply if you are caught by the authorities.
The course is over the two nights. As we can only have 20 people per course you need to book and pay early. Subsequent courses will be scheduled in the coming months.
1. A USI no. that is a unique student identifier number available online.
2. A Passport size colour photo of themselves
3. Go online and study the AMC handbook for whichever license they require to prepare for the two nights of training. (This is available by going to the Australian Maritime College AWQ radio license booklet and either downloading at a cost or viewing only at no cost).
