On Tuesday 13 August (week 6), Marist College Ashgrove will be hosting a Year 7&8 Dance in the Champagnat Centre. The Dance is open to Marist students and students from invited girls’ schools from years 7 and 8 only. Details of the evening are below:

Time:Â Â Â Â Â Â 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm (check-in from 7.15 pm)
Venue:Â Â Â Â Â Champagnat Centre, Marist College Ashgrove, 142 Frasers Road, Ashgrove
Cost:      $20 which includes soft drink and chips (tickets via Humanitix link below). Money raised from this event will go towards supporting Marist Solidarity programs. Soft drinks ($3) and lollies ($2) will be available for purchasing on the evening via EFTPOS facilities or Marist student ID card.
Tickets
Students will be required to show their printed ticket on the evening, together with the current student ID card with photo to gain entry. Please note that tickets will not be sold at the door - anyone without a valid ticket and school ID will be refused entry.
Timings and Collection of Students
The dance will be fully supervised by staff from the College. No student will be admitted after 7.30pm, nor will anyone be able to leave the dance until its conclusion unless accompanied by a parent. When purchasing tickets, parents will be required to indicate who is responsible for transporting their child home. At the conclusion of the dance, parents (or nominated others) will be required to be present outside the gymnasium to collect their children. For ease of collection, there will be a designated Marist meeting spot outside the gym.
This is a College event and students are expected to adhere to the current College expectations. All attendees must dress in a modest fashion, as outlined in the online terms and conditions set out below.
Terms and Conditions of Entry
- No admittance without ticket and current school photo ID.
- School Rules apply - no mobile phones to be bought into the Champagnat Centre. If you need to bring a phone, it must be handed in on arrival and can be collected at the end of the evening.
- School Rules apply – no smoking, vaping, alcohol or drugs. Any student suspected of being impacted will have their parent/guardian contacted.
- Acceptable modest, neat clothing required – entry will be refused for inappropriate dress standards.
- Must be wearing closed in shoes.
- Failure to comply with dress code or code of behaviour may, at the sole discretion of the school, result in a parent being contacted and the student being refused entry to the dance or exclusion from it.
- Do not bring bags/backpacks with you to the dance. Cloakroom facilities will not be available.
- Chewing gum is NOT allowed
- Personal water bottles may not be bought from home.
