Marist Reading Night 2026

We are excited to invite students and fathers (or father figure) from Years 5-8 to join us for an evening of literary fun and community bonding at the Marist Reading Night on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.

The evening will feature an inspiring talk from Australian author Tristan Bancks whose known for his work with children and teens. He has received numerous awards and short listings, including the CBCA Honour Book and the Children's Book Council of Australia's Book of the Year Award.

Guests will have the opportunity to visit a book stall to browse and purchase new books, enjoy time reading together, win exciting lucky door prizes, and enjoy light refreshments.

In the lead-up to the event, we are asking all Marist parents to donate a book suitable for a child in Year 5-8. These books should be in good condition and will be sent to children in Papua New Guinea through our Mission team.
