Mark Skiba's Last Hurrah

Please join us to reflect on and celebrate the life of Mark Skiba on Wednesday February 12th at Welcome To Thornbury - The Greenhouse, 520 High St Thornbury, at 10:30am. Please join us for a welcome drink from 10:00am before the ceremony begins at 10:30am sharp.

A wake with food and drinks will follow at the same venue.

Burial

Mark's burial will happen at the Northern Memorial Park (56 Box Forest Road - Glenroy) after the wake on Wednesday February 12th at 3:30pm. Further instructions will be added here and also explained on the day. Please feel free to attend if you would like to.

Donations

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a cause close to Mark’s heart, ACT Wildlife. Mark had a deep love of Australian wildlife, particularly wombats, and had planned to get involved in the rescue and preservation of these beautiful creatures in his later years. He had followed the work of ACTWildlife rescuer, Lindy, for many years via Instagram (@crazy_wombat_lady). As a grass-roots charity running on meagre donations, they would greatly appreciate anything you can give.

Parking and Public Transport

Free parking is available in and around the area, particularly at Croxton Park Hotel, and the 86 tram stops just out the front. If you can take Public Transport, this is a great option.
