Mark Radcliffe needs no introduction to anyone who's had a radio on in the last thirty years. One half of the legendary Mark and Lard, now host of Radio 2's Folk Show and 6Music's weekend breakfast with Stuart Maconie, he's spent a career talking brilliantly about music. What's less well known is that he's also spent decades making it, fronting folk rock bands The Family Mahone and Galleon Blast, and writing five bestselling books along the way (his latest, written with his dog Arlo, is about as good a title as you'll find on a shelf this year).

Alongside him is David Boardman, guitarist, singer, songwriter and visual artist from Newcastle, whose paintings have hung in The Biscuit Factory and London's Oxo Tower.

Together they've taken their show across the UK, into Spain and Portugal, and now to Atherton. Expect rambling stories from a genuinely mystifying career, some quietly devastating original songs, and the odd well chosen cover, all drawn from their two albums, First Light and the newly released Hearsay and Heresy, which has been picking up radio play from stations who know a good song when they hear one. ✨

This is the kind of night that works best up close, two old friends telling the truth through songs and stories, in a room built for exactly that. 🎶
