Morocco Global | Southbank, Melbourne

Get ready to be swept away to Morocco — without leaving Melbourne!

Welcome to Marrakech Magic Market, a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of Moroccan culture, colour, music, food and community. We're bringing a little Moroccan magic to SouthBank as we celebrate 50 years of connection between Australia and Morocco, with a special appearance by the Moroccan Ambassador to Australia.

Celebrate Moroccan, Middle Eastern/SWANA (South West Asia North Africa) culture, and expect an atmosphere filled with rhythm, delicious aromas, beautiful traditions and plenty of surprises.

What's waiting for you?

Music, dance & DJ — soak up the atmosphere and let the rhythm, and culture move you.
Henna artistry — adorn yourself with beautiful traditional designs.
Coffee cup reading — discover what the future might have in store.
Moroccan flavours — explore cultural dishes, freshly brewed coffee, tea and delicious treats available to purchase.
Market stalls — browse unique finds and discover something special.
Fun for the whole family — bring your friends, bring the kids, and come ready to explore.

Whether you're familiar with Moroccan culture, have a love for travel and adventure, or simply want to spend a Saturday somewhere a little different, everyone is welcome! Come for the food, stay for the music, discover something new and connect with a wonderful mix of people.

And this is just the beginning…

Marrakech Magic Market is the launch of our journey towards an even bigger Morocco Global celebration in 2027. We're kicking things off with a day full of energy, culture and community — and we'd love you to be part of it.
