Martha Spencer (from the Whitetop Mountaineers USA) and Archer (from Australia) present a unique show highlighting the music of warm hearts, strong souls and vibrant minds.Martha Spencer is a singer-songwriter, mountain musician and dancer from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She grew up in the musical Spencer family and learned to play several instruments (guitar, fiddle, banjo, bass, dulcimer, mandolin) and flatfoot/clog. She performs and has recorded with various groups and has been involved with several roots music projects. She has played shows, festivals and led workshops across the US, Australia, UK, Canada, and Europe. Martha’s first solo album was in 2018 and her latest release “Wonderland” in 2022 have been featured in articles in Rolling Stone Country, No Depression, Holler, Wide Open Country, Bluegrass Situation, Americana Highways, PopMatters and more. She also has been included in articles in the NY Times, Austin Chronicle and Billboard and was a part of the Fiddlin’ documentary movie.
As for Archer, if you want to listen to music that touches your soul and takes you back to a time where there were no fences, fewer cars on the road and more beauty in your surroundings, you have to listen to Archer.
Potato farmer, tree planter and singer-songwriter everywhere else in between, his voice will take you on a journey back to the 1950s and even further than that, with an appreciation of the flora and fauna that rural and outback Australia has to offer.First exposed to music as a young child, the gentle voiced sing-song man and writer says he continues performing music because he's hoping his music will inspire or create something special for people's souls. Archer has recordings on Pound records, Skinny Fish labels, was featured on the documentary “I Am Wanita” and recorded at Sun Studios and Nashville recently.
