Martial Arts and Movement - Working from the Inside Out


Event description

In this 3 hour workshop we will look at movement and how gaining a better understanding, and application, of it can help in all facets of your life, and not just in the Martial arts.

Yes, it will improve your striking, manhandling (wrestling), defence, footwork and a multitude of other martial applications. But, it will also give you improvement in your day to day movements whether that be activeĀ posture, sitting, exercising, gardening or doing your day to day jobs. It's all about doing more with less and not more deadlifts and bench press!

It will be fun, educational and a great way to spend a Sunday with other cool people : )

We will look at the following topics:

* ANS and brain versus mind

* External and internal perspectives

* Understanding physical drivers

* Joints before muscles

* Structure before strength

* Feet, your undiscovered heroes

* Accept pressure, control stress

* Then, and, with - timing

* Breath - how to improve you

* Understanding your balance

* Plus a whole lot more cool stuff : )

As with all of our classes, seminars, and workshops it will be a 'dickhead free zone' where everyone has fun, learns some cool stuff and doesn't get injured due to someones ego.
