Maryland/DC Hyphen family!

Mark your calendars, the Maryland/DC Hyphen Retreat 2026 is almost here! This year’s theme is “Rooted”. Together we will explore what it means to be rooted and built up in Him.

Hyphen Retreat 2026 will look a little different this year! Due to unexpected damage to Powell Hall that prevents us from hosting our traditional overnight retreat, we’re bringing the Hyphen family together for a special one-day-only experience packed with worship, the Word, connection, and everything we love about Hyphen Retreat.

DATES: Friday–Saturday, October 16, 2026

LOCATION: The Claggett Center, Adamstown, MD (3035 Buckeystown Pike, Adamstown, MD 21710)

GUEST SPEAKER: ADAM SHAW

We are excited to have Pastor Adam Shaw joining us this year. He is the Sr. Pastor of LifePoint Church in Hamilton, Ontario, and has spent nearly twenty years of ministry, especially among young adults locally and within the United Pentecostal Church International. His work has practically helped people think clearly about Scripture, embrace their calling, expand their capacity and grow in leadership.

He's the host of the Restorationist Podcast, has written and co-written several resources including You(th) Ministry, Starting Point, Grow, and Lead, plus The Gospel, an Apostolic Bible study built to equip believers in witnessing. His real gift, though, is bringing Scripture into conversation with the actual questions people are wrestling with culture, leadership, how to live faithfully in everyday moments.

Over the years, he's taught everyone from high schoolers to established leaders, spoken at UPCI conferences, and invested steadily in raising up the next generation of Apostolic ministry.

We're genuinely glad to have him here and believe that we are going to receive something special through his ministry to us.

WORSHIP LEADER: RAYNE LIBBY

Rayne Libby will be leading us in worship! Rayne is an IBC alumna, worship leader, and songwriter with a heart to lead people in to the presence of God to experience His transforming power.

  Join us for a focused keynote designed to help set the tone and direction for our time together at Hyphen Retreat. This short, engaging session will offer inspiration, biblical perspective, and practical challenge centered around the heart and theme of the retreat.

• GENERAL SESSION W/ BRO. ADAM SHAW

8:00 PM - 9:45 PM

We'll launch into the core of our evening with an anointed word from our featured retreat speaker Bro. Adam Shaw.

• HYPHEN LATE NIGHT

  10:00 - 12:00 PM

  Following the Friday night general session, enjoy our exciting Late Night event with food, games, music, activities, and an energy bar at the retreat center.
