Mascot Short Film Premiere
Description
MASCOT — Short Film Premiere
Join us for the premiere of MASCOT, an independent psychological short film exploring isolation, identity, and the desire to belong.
After months of hard work, we're excited to bring Mascot to the big screen for the very first time at Dendy Cinemas for a private screening before it's festival run.
Written and directed by Brandon Potts, Mascot is a 15-minute psychological drama featuring a striking black-and-white visual style with selective use of red.
This special screening is an opportunity to experience the film as it was intended — on the big screen, surrounded by the people who helped bring it to life.
Synopsis:
Seth, a socially isolated teenager working as a panda mascot, struggles to be seen beyond the mask. After a humiliating encounter with a former friend, he becomes increasingly aware of how others perceive him. Encouraged by an imagined voice and consumed by the need for control, Seth attempts to reclaim attention on his own terms. But as performance and reality begin to blur his behaviour grows more erratic, turning his desire to be noticed into something far more unsettling.
