MASSAGE FOR COUPLES

A practical, hands-on workshop for couples.

Ever wished you could give your partner a massage that not only feels good, but also actually helps them with their muscle tension?

Have you wanted to learn how to help them to really relax without wondering if you’re using too much pressure, working in the wrong place, or exhausting your hands in the process?

Massage for Couples is a relaxed three hour workshop designed to teach you practical massage skills you can use with each other at home.

Led by remedial massage therapist Elliot Lonsdale, you’ll learn some of the fundamentals he uses in his own practice, including how to feel what’s happening beneath your hands, recognise changes in muscle tension, adjust pressure and use different techniques safely and comfortably.

You’ll learn how to:

- Recognise changes in muscle tension

- Use different types of pressure and movement

- Find areas that may need some extra attention

- Communicate about pressure, comfort and what feels good

- Use your body effectively without tiring your hands and wrists

- Give a relaxing massage for everyday tension and general maintenance

- Understand when an area should not be massaged

- Reconnect through touch, attention and presence

You’ll practise on each other throughout the workshop, swapping roles so you both have the chance to learn, give and receive.

This isn’t professional massage training, and you don’t need any previous experience to participate. The focus is on simple techniques that are easy to remember and genuinely useful at home.

Whether you want to help your partner unwind after a long day, ease everyday muscle tension, or simply spend some quality time together, you’ll leave with a practical massage routine you can continue using long after the workshop.
