    Event description

Calling all early childhood educators, teachers and allied health professionals who work with young children aged 3-6 years. Come along to this fun, interactive workshop to learn about the Animal Fun program designed by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists from Curtin University.

The Animal Fun program helps children to become more confident in their motor skills and social skills within an imaginary play space. Evidence based and meeting EYLF, NQS and the Australian Curriculum for HPE (Foundation), Animal Fun ticks all the boxes.

Research shows that children also improve attentiveness and behaviour when they have well developed motor and social skills. It's a simple and easy-to-follow program that you will feel confident to implement at the completion of this workshop.

The new Scope and Sequence book maps out one whole year of lesson plans and links directly to curriculum making your life much easier.

This full day workshop will give all participants the most comprehensive introduction to  Animal Fun. An in depth review of the health issues affecting young children, a look at some  emerging research trends together with explanations and demonstrations of most of the activities within the program. We will also discuss program planning and how we might engage parents to support the work you are doing with the children.

All participants will receive a Workbook to record all of the tips and ideas I share, a Certificate of Participation and some free giveaways (Poster, e-book for Parents)

Don't take my word for it...here is what others have to say.

"Absolutely, hands down, the only motor program I recommend for the early years. Easy to implement as well as evidence based. Programs such as Animal Fun are vital to future academic success, physical health and mental wellbeing".

Berry Johnston, Occupational Therapist, Lil Peeps OT For Kids.

Animal Fun has certainly lived up to its very high expectations! Our Professional Learning experience with Sue was engaging, practical and as fun for the adults as it is for the children. Not only is Animal Fun evidence based, it is easy to use and embed into classroom routines. I would highly recommend Animal Fun to schools looking to support (or extend!) their youngest students perceptual motor skills."

Ally Carlton-Moyle , Kindergarten Teacher and Early Years Co-ordinator, Perth College.

A fantastic door prize is also on offer, plus the chance to view and purchase Animal Fun resources and other sensory items to compliment the program.

Please wear comfortable clothing as there is some light physical activity (nothing to be concerned about - I promise!)

Morning tea and lunch is provided and onsite parking is available for $10 for the full day via the Parkable App.

Get your team together and make a commitment to improving children's physical and mental health.

I hope to see you there.
