Our Masterclass Workshop is a special event for dedicated dance students in ballet and contemporary. The Dance Collective Company is  excited to bring international professional guest teachers to the Byron Bay area for this workshop!
Students can expect an intensive masterclass of ballet technique and contemporary, followed by a special opportunity to learn repertoire from Tonia Looker. It is a day to elevate your dance technique and style and an amazing opportunity to learn from masters in the dance profession. You will learn from their extensive knowledge and international careers and come away inspired and ready to dance to the next level!  

Classes are divided into: 

- Intermediate Level Ballet and Contemporary (ages 12-15yrs)

- Advanced Level Ballet and Contemporary (ages 14-18yrs)

- Open Level Ballet Repertoire

SCHEDULE

9.00am Registration Open 

9.30am Class 1 - Intermediate Ballet / Advanced Contemporary

11.15am Lunch Break (30 mins)

11.45am Class 2 - Advanced Ballet / Intermediate Contemporary

1.30pm  Small Break (15 mins)

1.45pm Class 3 - Repertoire Open Level

2.45pm FINISH


WHAT TO BRING

  • Water and towel for all classes
  • Snacks for lunch break and small breaks (unable to buy food onsite)

WHAT TO WEAR 

  • Ballet:  tights, leotard, ballet shoes (girls) / ballet tights, shirt, socks and ballet shoes (boys)
  • Contemporary:  long pants and socks
  • Repertoire Class:  pointe shoes for Advanced Level girls (Intermediate Level in flat shoes)

FAQ 

  • There is plenty of parking onsite
  • Please arrive early to have plenty of time to register and warm up
