Event description

The Master Electricians Annual Conference 2021 returns with a vengeance! 2020 is now hindsight and we're looking forward to Re-connecting, Re-engaging, Re-energising and Re-calibrating.

This year is our biggest and best yet!  From fascinating business sessions through to an amazing partners programme.  Added to that our children's programme is second to none - they won't want to go home!

Please read the information on this page carefully before starting your registration as it contains vital information to the registration process and all the exciting things we have to offer at this year's conference.

Conference Programme

AGM

Please note this year's AGM will be held at Rydges Latimer Square on Wednesday 6 October.  There are options within the registration for accommodation and whether you wish to register for the AGM.  We will also be livestreaming this event.  At time of publishing, the AGM is scheduled to start at 3pm and further information will be provided at a later date.

Accommodation

This year's conference is at Rydges Latimer Square.  We have negotiated exceptional rates for a wide range of accommodation types at the hotel and we encourage you to stay in-house with us during the conference.  Rooms are based on a minimum three night stay and should you wish to stay either side of the conference, please make contact with our team to arrange additional nights.

We note the accommodation includes breakfast in the hotel's restaurant.

Partner's Programme

We have a really exciting partner's programme this year and have opted to repeat all four activities on both days so you don't miss out on your options.  Please note these activities are included in your conference fee.

Children's Programme

Following the success of the 2019 conference in Nelson, we will be running our Children's Programme again this year.  When registering your child, they will automatically be put into the Children's Programme and the ONLY options you need to select for your child are the afternoon activities on Friday and Saturday.

  • We will finalise the children’s activities when we know the ages and numbers of children attending.
  • We will arrange for babysitters for the children for the morning and evening events when parents are otherwise engaged.
  • Those families travelling with teenage children, will be contacted by the organisers with an offer to be part of our team.

Activities

There are a wide range of activities on offer on Friday afternoon with something for everyone and these activities are included in your conference pack.  Taking on feedback from previous conferences, we have left Saturday afternoon free for you to enjoy Christchurch.  However, for those who wish to partake in activities they may have missed on Friday afternoon, we have arranged for a selection of activities for you to choose from.  We note these activities included transport to and from the venues and are provided at an additional cost.

Dinners

There are three dinner events being held during the conference.  Whilst we're not going to let you know where we are going, we can tell you the dress code for each night.  We also note that children will be attending the first night but then have their own activities on the Friday and Saturday night.

  • Thursday evening - casual dress
  • Friday evening - cocktail attire
  • Saturday evening - black tie/suit & cocktail/evening dress

Tram Passes

  • Your conference lanyard will double as a tram pass
  • You will be able to use trams right throughout the conference, free of charge.

Any queries regarding registration please don't hesitate to call or email our Conference Manager, Libby Carson at conference@masterelectricians.org.nz or 0272693939.
