OPENING NIGHT - Master Made: An Exhibition
Event description
Join us for an evening of celebrating excellence in craftsmanship at Simply for Strings, as we, in collaboration with the Sydney String Centre, proudly open Master Made: An Exhibition in Brisbane.
This exhibition will showcase a collection of fine instruments and bows crafted by world-renowned luthiers and archetiers, including Vuillaume, Gadda, Degani, Hel, Hill & Sons, Russ, Varazzani, Mezin, Weise, Mazzotti, Sartory, Lamy, Tubbs and many more. As you explore the exhibition, you'll discover the unique crafting style of each maker. These precious instruments are available for purchase, so be sure to speak to one of the string experts from Simply for Strings or the Sydney String Centre if you're looking for your forever instrument.
The evening will also include a special performance by Ensemble Cherubim, featuring some of Brisbane’s brightest young artists. The quartet will present an exciting program of string works, allowing you to experience the exquisite sound of these fine instruments firsthand.
While this event is free, reservations are essential due to limited availability so be sure to book in quickly. We look forward to celebrating the artistry and craftsmanship of these extraordinary instruments and bows with you!
