    Wish you could mix a cocktail? Want to learn more about wine? How do they make Gin taste so good? Scratch all these curiosities, and more, at Master The Art. 

    As part of YCK Intersections, Master The Art brings together some of Sydney's best bartenders, chefs, producers, and providors for a series of open air masterclasses during the day, and assembles some of Australia's finest musical talent for 3 nights of musical showcases. 

    All this will take place open air in Barrack Street in the heart of the Sydney CBD, which will be brought to life with a main stage, food trucks, and of course bars. 

    Saturday's Masterclasses:

    1. Maybe Sammy: Art of The Martini - 12pm to 1:30pm

      World-class bartenders from Maybe Sammy (ranked 22 in The World's Best Bar 2021) will teach you how to make perfect cocktails at home for any mood or occasion. Learn how to make two iconic Martinis - one which changed the world thanks to James Bond, and one which is the best-selling in Australia.

      Maybe Sammy will guide the participants in this workshop to perfect the classic Bombay Premier Cru Classic Dry Martini as well as the ever so popular Espresso Martini. The session will cover the brief history of these drinks, the ingredients, as well as the techniques to master the art of the Martini. Of course, guests will be treated to some mouth watering cocktails at the end.

      Take home: Leave the class with gift pack of complementary Maybe Sammy Bottled cocktail.

      2. From Sunday winemakers: NSW Wines for NSW - 2pm to 3:30pm

        Join the From Sunday Winemakers on a tasting exploration where your tastebuds will be treated to some of the beautiful wines that NSW has to offer. 

        From Sunday winemakers, Dave Kynaston and Sam Bowman (one of Australia's leading Viticulturalists) will talk to you about the latest in regenerative farming practices whilst taking you through their newest collection of amazing wines. From the sunny banks of the Murray River to the high altitude slopes of Orange, these are NSW wines made for NSW. Think fun, fresh and vibrant styles to match our eclectic lifestyle.  

        You will be tasting through 5 different wines along the journey, and hearing the stories behind what makes each of these wines so special. In addition, you will be invited to help put together the latest vintage of one of their most popular wines, Lucky's, with a blending masterclass where you will be an integral part of the next From Sunday Winemakers adventure. 

        Each participant will get to take home a bottle of wine to enjoy along with some serious 'winemaker' bragging rights!

        3. Hickson House Distilling Co.: Gin Genius - 4pm to 5:30pm 

        Mikey Enright ‘Co-founder’ & Tim Stones ‘distiller’ of Hickson House Distilling Co. will take you on a journey of Gin. We will deliver some great history, why Australian native botanicals make a great Gin and how we use them. What are our favourite Gin bars around the world and the tastiest Gin cocktails we have tasted and created.  

        Ticket includes:  G&T on arrival, tasting board of 3 Gins from our range w tonic, Martini to finish. 

        Take home: 200ml bottle of Hickson Rd Australian Dry Gin, Hickson Rd olives.

        The event is 18 plus only - ID will be required on arrival

        Due to the nature of the event - we sadly cannot accommodate for dietary requirements.

        Please note the masterclasses will run with tables of 6, and should you purchase less than 6 tickets you may be seated next to guests that you don't know. 

        Please note that tickets purchased through the one transaction will be seated together. We cannot group other purchased tickets together after tickets have been purchased, so please purchase all tickets together.

        The event is an outdoor event and will proceed unless deemed unsafe. We recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat for protection from the elements.
