Wish you could mix a cocktail? Want to learn more about wine? How do they make Gin taste so good? Scratch all these curiosities, and more, at Master The Art.

As part of YCK Intersections, Master The Art brings together some of Sydney's best bartenders, chefs, producers, and providors for a series of open air masterclasses during the day, and assembles some of Australia's finest musical talent for 3 nights of musical showcases.

All this will take place open air in Barrack Street in the heart of the Sydney CBD, which will be brought to life with a main stage, food trucks, and of course bars.

Sunday's Masterclasses:

1. Sydney Oyster Farm Tours: How To Be An Oyster Connoisseur - 12PM to 1:30PM

Meet the farmers from Sydney Oyster Farm Tours (Central Coast), who will teach you how to open oysters with your own hands so you can have freshly opened oysters on tap. You will learn to recognise the differences between Sydney Rock and Pacific oysters and their flavour profiles. Just as wine growers can explain the terroir of their vintages, we will walk you through how different farming practices and provenance influence these delicacies.

By the end of this class you will be able to identify what makes a product premium and know the story behind the oyster better than the restaurant that is serving it!

In this interactive masterclass:

- Learn to shuck oysters, with our farmers guiding you.

- Receive two dozen oysters (mix of Sydney Rock and Pacific) to consume or take home

- Oysters will be served with lemons, elderflower mignonette and lime margarita dressing

- Oysters will be accompanied by sweet Gold Coast Tiger Prawns

3. Cantina OK!: Mastering Margaritas - 4:00PM to 5:30PM

Become a Margarita Master with the team from Cantina OK!, Sydney's mezcal mecca and No. 23 on The World's Best Bars list. Find out the story behind the spirit as you taste some of Mexico's finest mezcal and tequila, and learn how to create a selection of the award winning team's favourite cocktails.

On the day attendees will be guided through how to make two different cocktails and get to sample one mezcal:

Make a Pineapple and Togarashi Patrón Tequila Margarita
Be guided through a bespoke Mezcal Tasting

Take home: Mini Patrón Tequila bottle plus printed recipes to master your new skills at home.
