We all know that good communications are essential, but when you are running a busy charity or grassroots group, finding the headspace to step back and plan strategically can feel near impossible.

It is easy to get caught up in an endless cycle of writing the next newsletter, posting on social media, or promoting the next event without stepping back to view the bigger picture.

In this practical, one-hour online masterclass delivered by the Young Ealing Foundation, we will demystify what a communications strategy really is (spoiler: it’s not just a social media calendar!) and explore how purposeful communications can directly support your charity's core mission and wider organisational goals.

What We’ll Cover

Creating a comms strategy: Understand the essential elements of an effective strategy and how to align it with your charity's mission.
Engaging across channels: Practical tips for tailoring and creating impactful content across different platforms.
Maximising impact with limited resources: How to make your comms work smarter and harder without needing a dedicated team or a massive marketing budget.
Q&A: An opportunity to ask questions tailored to your organisation’s current challenges.

Who Is This For?

This session is designed specifically for small charities, grassroots organisations, and voluntary sector groups. You do not need a marketing background, a dedicated communications team, or a large budget—just a willingness to pause, reflect, and think strategically about how you tell your story.
