Experience a contemporary experimental workshop with Juz Kitson working with porcelain to create wondrous, eclectic and thought-provoking works that push the boundaries of porcelain while creating a sense of wonderment.

Learn the fundamentals of hand building and surface decoration to create a unique object. Encouraging participants to experiment and draw inspiration from their inner world and the natural surroundings, Juz will offer instructive, practical demonstrations on how to push and pull porcelain by hand, build up forms, and prepare surface treatments with tools.

Participants will each receive 1 x 4kg of ‘Porcelain Queen’ each to create with - Juz’s porcelain made in her Milton NSW studio and sourced from Jingdezhen, The Ancient Porcelain City. 

Masterclass includes

All required materials –4kg of ‘Porcelain Queen’, Juz’s porcelain made in her Milton NSW studio and sourced from Jingdezhen, The Ancient Porcelain City. Tools for making.

Light lunch - There is an opportunity to advise of any dietary requirements when making your booking.

You will walk away with

Participants will gain a strong foundation in practical hand-building skills, technical knowledge.

Your own unique, hand-built clay sculpture

Other important information

Please arrive 10 minutes early to avoid late starts and allow time to find an all-day carpark.

This Masterclass will take place outside the gallery under marquees. Please wear weather appropriate clothing.

What's the refund policy?

Refund available up to 48 hours before the start time of the masterclass.

Please note: when purchasing your ticket, the Gallery absorbs all related booking fees, however, refunds will include the ticket price less the Humanitix fees (which consists of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined)

What's the cancellation policy?

Minimum bookings required for workshop to proceed. In the unlikely event that the workshop is cancelled, participants will be given sufficient notice along with a full refund.
