Chris Power, an accomplished and seasoned developer of people and teams leads this session. Chris is known as the team unlocker, and is an insightful and experienced coach. This Masterclass is part of the Series: Leading with nobility for a new era, organised by Barasa Consulting Group.

Who is this session for?

Team leaders, senior or emerging, who want to develop their capacity to create high functioning teams, by building the foundations of trust, so they can lead through uncertainty more effectively.

Overview

Trust is foundational in high functioning teams.

Patrick Lencioni, in his book Five Dysfunctions of a Team, placed "absence of trust" at the base of dysfunction.

In all its forms - be it trust in oneself, trusting others, being worthy of others’ trust - trust underpins highly effective, agile teams, where people can bring their best selves.

The need for agility, speed, engagement, and innovation in complexity has seen the shift to networks of teams, greater levels of autonomy, shifts to collective and distributed leadership, and the need for radical transparency and experimentation.

Trust underpins this shift.

There are many dimensions involved in building, cultivating, repairing and maintaining trust as leaders in teams, in organisations and with all stakeholders.

Do you know what you are doing that fosters or depletes trust?
How would you describe the level of trust in your team?
Do you invest time reflecting on ways to improve trust?

Key outcomes from this session:

In this session you will:

Expand your capacity to build trust in your team
Practice with trust frameworks including BRAVING from Brené Brown, and David Maister’s Trust Formula

Who is this for?

Team leaders, senior or emerging, seeking to lead more effectively through uncertainty and unlock opportunities for creativity, collaboration and high performance.
