UNDERSTANDING & PREVENTING THE IMPACTS of TRAUMA

Did you know that about 20% of frontline workers go on to experience PTSD as a result of being exposed to the trauma of their clients?

This has serious health and wellbeing costs for all concerned. In this training, we look at how to protect your staff and yourself from the impact of exposure to trauma of clients and colleagues.

This one-hour masterclass session will support you to understand:

The psychological nature of trauma and vicarious trauma.
How to recognise the signs of trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue.
Strategies to protect yourself and your staff against the impact of trauma and vicarious trauma.

This training is ideally for those who:

Have staff who are exposed to the trauma and suffering of others.
Want to understand trauma and vicarious trauma.
Want to know how to protect wellbeing at work.

OUR TRAINER
Adam Blanch, Trauma Trainer and Psychologist

Adam is a registered psychologist with a Bachelor of Indigenous Studies (Trauma and Healing) and Post-Graduate Degrees in Psychology. He has been studying and treating psychological trauma for over 35 years, using more than 30 therapeutic approaches. Adam has delivered trainings to staff and volunteers from hundreds of not for profit and community organisations around Australia. Living in Northern NSW he knows firsthand the impact of natural disasters on rural and regional communities, and has been engaged to train communities through NSW government funded programs throughout 2022 and 2023.

There will also be ample time for Q&A, so bring your questions along.
