Masterclass | Chaos to Clarity: How AI Enables Manufacturers to Upskill their Workforce Instead of their Robots.
Event description
Chaos to Clarity: How AI Enables Manufacturers to Upskill their Workforce Instead of their Robots.
Imagine if the knowledge that exists in your most experienced and technically skilled people could be easily shared with others.
For many Australian manufacturers, that knowledge is walking out the door every year - taking decades of hard-earned expertise with it. The result? Lost productivity, costly mistakes, and a growing gap between generations of workers.
This masterclass explores how AI can help capture and preserve that invaluable know-how through something as simple - and powerful - as the shift handover process. Learn how manufacturers are using AI to make every shift change a moment of learning, connection, and progress.
Key Takeaways:
Demystifying AI – Cut through the hype to understand what AI actually means, how it works, how it can be used to improve productivity internally, and how it's applied in manufacturing today.
Building a Knowledge Base – Manufacturers can now make sense of rich unstructured data - i.e. enhancing frontline workers with AI instead of bypassing them with sensors and automation. This was very hard to do before LLMs.
Highlighting a Key Problem (as an example) – The hidden cost of knowledge gaps and a retiring workforce. Real relatable stories of how missing tribal knowledge costs millions.
Practical Starting Point – Why shift handovers matter and how they can be your “front door” to AI adoption. How to meet operators where they are (voice, email, phones, etc). Our journey as a startup toward identifying how to drive engagement and solve the highlighted problem.
The Future – Where we believe factories are heading in the next 10–20 years, and what role AI and enhanced industry collaboration might play in achieving the next frontier of efficiency beyond full automation.
Join us to explore how AI can help your organisation retain wisdom, boost productivity, and keep your people — not just your machines — at the heart of manufacturing’s future.
Our presenters:
Loïc is the Co-Founder and CEO of ROSS, an Auckland-based startup transforming how manufacturers capture and share operational knowledge. ROSS’ AI-powered shift handover platform enables factories to retain critical know-how and make it instantly accessible to every team member - closing the gap between generations of workers and driving efficiency across the floor.
Before launching ROSS, Loïc worked with Nestlé as a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, focusing on continuous improvement, digital transformation, and operational efficiency across global sites. His early career spans innovation projects in vertical farming, engineering design, and sustainable product development, including ventures like At Lolo’s, a creative startup supported by the Santander Entrepreneurship Fund.
Driven by a passion for sustainable innovation and the human side of technology, Loïc’s work sits at the intersection of AI, manufacturing excellence, and knowledge retention - helping teams move from chaos to clarity in the era of intelligent industry.
