Are you ready to empower your team with the knowledge and confidence to protect your cashflow, enforce your rights, and get paid on time under Queensland’s Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act (BIF Act)?

Hosted by the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Helix Legal, this practical Security of Payment training breaks down the payment framework that governs every construction contract in Queensland and explains your legal obligations under the Act.

From understanding contractual payment mechanisms to preparing compliant payment claims and payment schedules, you will gain the practical tools needed to navigate the process with certainty.

This session will also guide you step-by-step through the adjudication process, including:

What triggers adjudication
How and when to respond
Preparing compelling submissions
Avoiding the costly pitfalls that catch many businesses off guard

Backed by real-world case studies and outcomes from across the industry, this training demonstrates what actually happens in practice. Learn how smart businesses have used the BIF Act to secure fast, legally enforceable payments — and how you can do the same.

Whether you are a contractor, subcontractor, project manager, contract administrator, or business owner, this training will give you the clarity and confidence to take control of your payment processes and safeguard your bottom line.

Following the workshop, relax, unwind, and continue the conversation with industry peers over a few beers and hot food — the perfect opportunity to network, share experiences, and build valuable local connections.
