Claire McKendrick, a highly skilled, intuitive and purposeful leadership coach and systems consultant, leads this Masterclass. This Masterclass is part of the Series: Leading with nobility for a new era, organised by Barasa Consulting Group.

Description

The world is radically changing, and our social, political, cultural, ecological, economic and family systems are in great flux.

The uncertainty of this time can trigger in us a grasping for control, a bunkering down to more deeply entrench our existing world views, reinforcing our own sense of certainty; our ways of knowing, being and relating to each other and all of life.

Alternatively, this moment brings with it an invitation to release our grip on certainty and open to many ways of knowing, being and relating and unknown possibilities and potential.

What does it take of us to create and hold spaces that allow for new possibilities, new ways knowing and relating?

Drawing on a depth of leadership, systems and complexity theory as well as the work of great teachers and poets we will explore some of the key capacities for creating and holding threshold spaces - spaces that hold the magnitude or intensity that must be exceeded for a reaction, phenomenon, result, or condition to manifested that brings our relationships with each other and all of life into a new pattern or harmony.

Key outcomes from this session:

An understanding of the key capacities and theoretical frameworks to create and hold spaces to allow for new possibilities to emerge
An understanding and experience of how to work productively with tension, conflict, and intensity
An understanding of our own learning edges and areas for development

Who is this session for?

Senior or emerging purpose-driven leaders who want to develop their capacity to lead through uncertainty, foster inclusive and innovative cultures, and create greater social impact.

Your Facilitator Claire McKendrick

For over 20 years, Claire has worked with thousands of leaders facilitating transformational and immersive leadership and learning programs for executives and social purpose leaders to discover new ways of being and relating to deepen their impact in the world.

Claire has also led significant systemic reforms to improve approaches and outcomes in complex policy and service areas such as mental health, Aboriginal health, and healthcare governance and delivery.

Knowing that true innovation and creativity emerge at the learning edge of systems, Claire masterfully holds individuals and groups at this edge, helping leaders to work with greater self- and system-awareness to make progress on current challenges.

She is inspired by a deep sense of our systemic interdependence and brings this alive with attention to the relational space – the spaces between and how members of teams and parts of a system come together. This cultivates resilient, adaptive and thriving individuals, teams, organisations and systems.

Claire cultivates the skills and capacities that are required to catalyse new possibilities, and tends to the conditions that enable all of life to thrive.
