Join this comprehensive masterclass by Genevieve Wild, presented by The Montauk Lighting Co., as part of Perth Design Week.
Expand your product and specification knowledge, understand the behaviour of lighting and its effects, and delve into key lighting design techniques. Encapsulating all aspects of lighting, from the technical specifications and their relevance – including CCT, CRI, IP and beam angles – along with the importance of drivers and dimming protocols, controls and switching. The masterclass will culminate in the steps for designing lighting plans and, finally, lighting scenes.
This session will focus on residential, but its content is relevant to a broader application. A Q&A will follow the presentation, offering an opportunity to discuss general, technical, and project-specific questions.
Attendees to this masterclass are eligible to earn Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points with the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).
About Genevieve Wild
Genevieve Wild is a Sydney-based independent architectural lighting designer with a deep understanding of construction, interior design and landscaping. As the founder of Wildly Illuminating, she carefully balances architectural, task and decorative lighting to create cohesive, layered lighting schemes for clients.
Genevieve draws on her experience building and renovating personal projects. She has also worked as an in-house lighting designer for a global lighting brand. Driven by the synergy of design and science, Genevieve continually strives for aesthetic, practical, beneficial and efficacious lighting design.
