This three-part course will equip you to submit your pitch and synopsis with confidence.

Session 1: How to research and find the right publisher.

Session 2: Nailing your synopsis.

Session 3: Perfecting your pitch and cover letter.

In this course, you will:

  • Learn how to write a tight and compelling synopsis.
  • Understand the inside workings of the publishing industry.
  • Write a sharp cover letter and pitch.

    Format

    This is a 3-part online course with a focus on publishing industry; it will be hosted via Zoom. This course is best suited for intermediate writers who are ready to submit to publishers and agents.

    About Nadine

    Nadine Davidoff is a freelance book editor and writing/editing teacher with extensive trade publishing experience. She has worked as a Senior Editor at Random House and a Commissioning Editor at Black Inc. Nadine’s clients include major publishing companies and literary agents for whom she undertakes structural and copy editing. Nadine offers manuscript development services to established and first-time authors seeking editorial feedback before submitting their work to an agent or publisher. Nadine has taught in RMIT’s Professional Writing and Editing course and she teaches the annual Fiction Editing Masterclass in Melbourne University’s Masters of Publishing program.
