Matariki mā Puanga Hākari

We invite you all to a community hāngī on the 22nd of pipiri (June) to give thanks for the year gone by, and celebrate Matariki mā Puanga with a kai together.

Piha Campground

Hāngī opened around 4PM

Welcome at the Campground all day to celebrate together and tautoko.

Come down and set up there for the day, have the tamariki and moko run about, and soak up the goodness of ao Māori and our Matariki mā Puanga celebrations.

Bring whatever makes you comfy, snacks, drinks, whatever you need for the kids, whariki, mats, chairs, wai,

PLEASE bring your own cutlery and plates to reduce waste.

If you would like to contribute:

💫 Veges, meat or funds;

💫 We will need kaimahi for vege prep on the Saturday beforehand;

💫 It is encouraged to bring a salad, raw fish, custards, breads, or something pre-made to contribute to the hākari.
