Event description

A community gathering

Join us for a community gathering to celebrate the rising of Matariki, the new moon and winter solstice. An invitation to connect to self, community and the ancient rhythms of earth and sky.

This experience offers a sacred weaving of cacao, storytelling, embodied movement, mantra and yoga nidra. A co-creation, where wisdom flows in all directions and each person’s presence enriches the whole.

Come as you are. Leave illuminated.

Your guides

Emily O'Sullivan - cacao circle
After spending most of her working years in the corporate world, Emily began to struggle with anxiety and was subsequently drawn to yoga and other healing modalities.

Her passion in health and wellness grew, leading her to train in pilates and open a yoga and pilates studio in Hawke's Bay.

Now, Emily is a Seleno Cacao Ceremony Facilitator and Soma Breathwork Instructor. She is passionate about finding simple and effective ways of calming our nervous systems.

Arapera Riki - the story of Matariki
Tuakana Rongoa Manawa

Arapera intuitively guides individuals and groups by connecting with Ancestral and environmental aspects and land features to share ancient wisdom, knowledge and energy to all who are open to receive.

The spiritual or Wairua is innate within each of us. When we acknowledge, accept and connect with this aspect of ourselves, our spiritual and physical well being is uplifted we can overcome dis-ease to achieve wellness, strength and peace of mind. It is a unique individual journey - a Haerenga aa Wairua.

Angeline Ramsay - embodied movement
Angeline has spent 30 years in manual therapy, offering integrative massage and bodywork to a diverse clientele. Her interest in the spine and movement's role in healing led her to train as an ATSI Structural Integration therapist, helping clients reconnect with their bodies.

As an ATSI practitioner, Dru Yoga Teacher, and Dru Breath Coach, she fosters awareness of the MindBody connection, promoting flexibility, strength, and breath to enhance vitality and calm.

Her classes focus on fascial flow and structural integration, working with the body’s fascial lines to release blocked energy and create harmony. With extensive experience in health contexts, she welcomes individuals of all fitness levels.

Bridget Schaeffers - mantra & yoga nidra
Inspired by over 10 years of practice and study in yoga, meditation, and self-enquiry, Bridget is devoted to sharing the Eastern wisdom that has guided her journey back to Self.
