Make Poi Māori, Grey Lynn Library, Wednesday 5 July 10am-12pm
Event description
Brought to you by Creative Communities!
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
Learn to make poi with reclaimed t-shirts and wool stuffing off-cuts.
T-shirts are upcycled and reused in every step of the process in this workshop, from making the poi's braid and tassle, to wrapping the poi ball.
Every scrap of waste made during the poi making process is incorporated back into the poi. This is truly a zero waste class!
The end result is a strong poi that will be great to use.
When: Wednesday 5 July 10am-12pm
Where: Grey Lynn Library
