Matariki / Winter Sky

One of our volunteers will take you on a guided personal tour of the night sky from sunset till sunrise, with a focus on the pre-dawn sky this year as Matariki rises to greet all the visible planets and the Moon. A rare chance to see all the main objects of the solar system together in the sky at this significant time of year.

New conditions of entry are in place as of April 2022

• Maximum 24 passengers per tour, everyone has a seat.
• Minimum age 5, recommended 8 and above.
• Masks to be worn inside planetarium and in observatory.
