It’s Matariki – a special time of year to slow down, reflect, celebrate, and learn about the Māori New Year.

Join us on Tuesday, 7 July for a fun and interactive workshop featuring:

Matariki Star Storytelling
Learn about the stars of Matariki, their meanings, and the stories connected to remembrance, wellbeing, food, the environment, and looking ahead to the future.

Freshly Made Fried Bread
Fresh fried bread for everyone to enjoy (takeaway available).

Harakeke Star-Making Activity
A hands-on activity where participants will create their own harakeke Matariki star to take home.

A warm, relaxed experience focused on connection, learning, creativity, and celebrating Matariki together.

Come together to create, learn, and celebrate the spirit of Matariki.
