Event description

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn the traditional art of crafting your own matcha tea bowl, using the traditional ‘tekukune’ technique. Guided by Naoko Coghlan, this immersive experience is perfect for both beginners and seasoned potters who are passionate about ceramics and the Japanese tea ceremony. The workshop will take place at Clarinda Clayworkers Studio at the Melaleuca Activity Hub, Clarinda.

Join us in celebrating the artistry and tranquility of the Japanese tea ceremony through the creation of your very own matcha tea bowl. Whether for personal use or as a thoughtful gift, this workshop promises a rewarding and enriching experience. 

All materials will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a bit messy.
