Mates on Mats is a monthly mindful event to bring awareness to mental health and raise money for The Wayside Chapel.

Keeping with current COVI-19 Health restrictions we are limited to a total of 10 people at this event, including the teacher. More tickets will be released if the laws change.

We meet at first light, move together as the sun rises and share an amazing experience.

This is the ultimate Bondi sunrise experience. Come by yourself to make new mates or come with your mates to enjoy this beautiful morning together.

Our tradition is to meet at Heart Cafe Bondi after our morning practice to catch up over a coffee and delicious breakfast. Heart Cafe is Bondi's first social enterprise cafe, working alongside The Wayside Chapel. All participants receive a 2 for 1 coffee voucher.

There will be 2 components to the morning, Yoga and a Cacao ceremony. The yoga is suitable for all levels of fitness and all are welcome.

Cacao Ceremony with Valerie

Valerie believes that starting the day with some yoga practice can help you to be healthier, feel better, reduce stress or anxiety and carry on that bliss with you throughout the day. Rituals are an important part of a yogi lifestyle. A cacao ceremony is a beautiful mindful experience.
You will be guided through this ceremony with warm ceremonial cacao.

What To Expect

A heart-opening experience: I feel obligated to leave this one pretty open ended. Ceremonial cacao works almost magically at opening up the heart chakra. ...
Intentionality: Drinking cacao for ceremonial purposes invites us to SLOW DOWN and to intentionally set time aside for ourselves. ...
Feel-Good Feelings.

This event is BYO Yoga mat to keep you safe.
