Become a MATES Connector
A Globally Recognised LivingWorks SafeTALK Course
Join us for a free, half-day Connector session delivered by MATES in Construction NSW. This evidence-based workshop equips everyday people – aged 16 and above – to become suicide alert helpers on site or in the community. No prior experience is needed.
Workshop Details
Date & Time: 8:00am start – runs for 4.5 hours (including breaks)
Cost: Free
Attire: Casual office wear
Food: light refreshments. Tea/Coffee provided (please bring your own if you have dietary needs/allergies)
Parking: Metered street parking or Officeworks carpark
🟢 Connectors are easy to spot – they wear the green MATES sticker.
What Is a Connector?
A Connector is:
A mate who looks out for their workmates
The go-to person when someone needs to talk
Someone who notices when others aren’t themselves
A person trained to recognise the signs that someone is struggling – and help them access support
Connectors play a critical role in suicide prevention.

Limited to 30 participants – first come, first served
Registrations close COB, 18th August
Workshop will be cancelled if minimum numbers aren't met
