Maths-In-Industry New Zealand 2024
Event description
Mathematics-in-Industry NZ (MINZ) events offer a collaborative approach to industry problem solving, where mathematical scientists tackle real life problems shared by companies.
This week-long intensive period of collaborative brainstorming is a great way of solving problems arising in industry and the environment.
Come join us at University of Canterbury Campus 1 – 5 July 2024 to solve interesting and vital industry challenges to help New Zealand businesses innovate and grow.
During the week-long MINZ study group you will get to meet and work with fellow mathematicians from NZ and around the world to demonstrate your skills directly to industry representatives.
The workshop provides a structured opportunity to make contact and forge partnerships with New Zealand industries interested in utilising your skills. It is also an opportunity to collaborate with other mathematicians, scientists and engineers to produce outcomes of immediate industrial relevance.
These events are often the launch pad for long term partnerships between mathematicians and businesses, powering up innovation within industry.
