7:30pm the music kicks off

As a musician, Matiu’s ability to powerfully connect with and lift a crowd with his powerful stage presence, while fronting great bands or with his solid solo looping show is mesmerising.

Looping live, Matiu's soulful roots music has a strong Maori flavor, using haka, chants and traditional Maori instruments, backed by grabbing grooves, deep, beautifully crafted bass lines, funky rhythms and magical melodies that stay with you well after the show ends, all held up by a pillar of Pacific passion and top class technical precision

As a composer, the soul stirring messages in Matiu's music are positive, inspiring and unifying.

Matiu intuitively nurtures a deep connection with his audience creating the energy that opens portals of paradise.

"I tell ya... Your medicine Is your music... Straight from the heart and the depths of your soul. You are a warrior of word n rhythm - inspiring peeps to look within n re switch the light inside their own souls. Thank u incredible you!”

Fan

There will be parking for three cars above the driveway and then another
spaces for 10 or so more vehicles along the road on the left hand side
as you drive toward the Ecozip (at the top of Trig Hill Rd). Once you
get to the reserve next to the Ecozip, you'll see another 6 or so
parallel parks and will be a 10 minute walk back to the gig @ 85. If we
are all parked out at the top of Trig Hill Rd, try parking on Victoria
Rd South instead. You'll find a set of 240 steps up from that road to
very near our house from there. You'll see the party on the left as
you're walking up the steps. (Note that you'll need a phone torch - and
some hi-viz is also recommended - to get back to your car at the end of
the night.) Good luck with it!
