Description

Are you longing for time and space to connect with yourself and others in an intentional way?

Would you like to explore ideas about Goddess and matriarchal archetypes, and what they mean in your own life and lineage?

Would you like to create an object or talisman that can reconnect you with your highest values, held in clay?

This circle explores embodiment through the lens of womb, breast, and cyclical body, an invitation for women and non-binary folks whose lived experience moves through this landscape.

In this circle you'll be invited to rest, connect, reflect, and create. Drawing on a body of research and art practice rooted in archaeomythology and the scholarship of Old European, pre-patriarchal cultures.

☽ We gather during Libra season, Venus's season, a fitting time to reflect on beauty and balance. Our circle also falls close to Beltane (Bealtaine), the old fire festival marking the threshold into summer, fertility, union, and aliveness. Both these two currents make this a potent time to reflect on what you're sowing, what you're drawn into relationship with, and what wants to come alive in you this season.

☽ We will share embodiment practices (this may include meditation, breath work, drum journey, or partner practices) to reflect on your relationship with the ancient feminine and Goddess archetypes across cultures.

☽ You'll be invited to explore your own ancestral lineage. Drawing from the symbols, stories, and Goddess figures that belong to your line or tradition and to bring that into the clay.

☽ You'll create ceramic sculptures, vessels, or small talismanic forms filled with your intentions, ready to hold magic on your altar, in your garden, or your workplace.

This circle is held by Anne Castles, ceramic artist and integrative therapist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, working at the intersection of embodied art practice, archaeomythology, and healing. Her own work draws on years of research into Old European Goddess cultures and the scholarship of Marija Gimbutas.

No clay experience is necessary, come as you are!

Bring a friend, and come make some magic with us.
