Matt Winstanley + Classic + Sealovers Lookout
Event description
Brierfield Flood Press presents
MATTHEW WINSTANLEY, CLASSIC and SEALOVERS LOOKOUT live at Franks Wild Years.
Matthew Winstanley is the singer and guitarist from Melbourne based band Truly Holy, who made an amazing record in 2019 called Transporter. Throughout nine incantatory songs, 'Transporter' imbues everyday gestures with ritualistic significance. The mundane becomes miraculous. Eyes glance across the universe. Other lives are glimpsed from bridges & fields, revealing another world in this one.
Classic is a local collaborative band with multiple songwriters.
Their songs are sincere, luminescent and lyrically driven, with themes that explore motherhood, grief, racism and
friendship. Framed by a sonic backdrop that emanates influences from 80’s post punk, dream pop and indie rock,
Classic harks to a blazing new age of beautiful song writing and captivating music.
Sealovers Lookout is an instrumental project by Jake Core (Soda Eaves).
