Meet Matt Golinski – Chef, Food Ambassador & Advocate for Local Produce

Matt Golinski is a highly respected Australian chef known for his passion for fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Best recognised as an original team member of Ready Steady Cook, Matt has worked as an executive chef in some of Queensland’s top restaurants and founded his own catering company.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, he now consults for restaurants, appears at food festivals, writes food columns, and actively supports the Slow Food movement. As the Food and Culinary Tourism Ambassador for the Gympie Region, he showcases local producers through cooking demonstrations and his blog Matt Eats Gympie.

Since 2018, Matt has been the Consultant Executive Chef at Peppers Noosa Resort, where he develops menus that celebrate Queensland’s finest ingredients. His dedication to supporting local farmers and food communities continues to shape the industry.
