Go behind the songs with one of America’s foremost singer-songwriters during this exclusive, up close and personal workshop with M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger and eTown host Nick Forster. In this intimate session, M.C. shares a behind-the-scenes look at how he crafts his songs, drawing on the experiences, questions and everyday moments that shape his writing.

Designed for songwriters, creatives and deep music listeners alike, this rare gathering offers direct insight into M.C.’s creative process, from lyrical inspiration to melody, storytelling and emotional honesty. With space intentionally limited, we look forward to a meaningful and interactive conversation centered on songwriting, creativity and connection.

Hiss Golden Messenger’s newest album is I’m People (released May 1, 2026), of which he says: “The songs … are about running towards and away from things, about reasonable and realistic hope and expectations, about having babies, getting older, love and lust and luck and music. They are songs about solitude and heartbreak and poverty of the spirit, and maybe community as some kind of antidote for these particular types of sicknesses.”
