Alternate Approaches: See your city anew as you sail into the heart of Seattle aboard the historic schooner Adventuress! Join us for a transit tour of history and industry as two Seattle super centennials reunite for Opening Day 2024. The stunning 111-year-old Adventuress will transit the 107-year-old Ballard Locks, pass under four bridges, through Fisherman's Terminal and arrive in Lake Union for Opening Day festivities.
Important Notes:
- The duration of the transit is not fixed but is expected to conclude between 1 and 4 pm.
- Plan to have someone pick you up or use your favorite ride share app to get back to your car if you park at Shilshole Bay Marina (6.5 miles). This is a one-way transit, please make arrangements to get back to where you need to go!
- We'll provide coffee, tea and cookies from the galley. You are encouraged to bring a picnic-style lunch, non-alcoholic beverages and sunscreen for yourself and any guests. Opening day traffic could delay the transfer beyond lunchtime. But those views!
- Infants aged 0-1 are free, but must have a ticket. The US Coast Guard regulates exactly how many people are on board, including infants and young children. Make sure you have a ticket for each person in your party before boarding.
