May - Breathe & Be: Carer Reset Retreat
Description
Are you a parent of a child with additional needs or disabilities and are used to holding everything and everyone - even when you’re running on empty?
You might feel exhausted, stretched thin.
This gentle space is your chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
A space where you get to be held.
This 3-hour retreat offers an opportunity to step out of the constant doing, and into a space where you can simply be - supported, held, and understood.
Facilitated by Niina
Special Education teacher
Inclusion Specialist
Certified Breathwork and Yin Yoga teacher
Parent of two deaf and autistic children
Blending professional expertise with lived experience, Niina offers a space that feels inclusive, understanding, and real — where you don’t have to explain yourself, and you don’t have to hold it all together.
What to Expect
During this retreat, you will have…
🌿 Opportunities to regulate your nervous system through guided Breathwork and Yin Yoga (always at your own pace, with options to rest or pause)
🌿 Gentle invitations to notice and soften what you may be holding — physically, mentally, or emotionally
🌿 Reflection and mindset activities to support clarity, self-awareness, and grounding
🌿 A creative craft activity, with freedom to engage in a way that feels right for you
🌿 Connection with other carers who may understand the complexities of your journey — with no pressure to share
🌿 Light refreshments, tea, and a cacao ritual offered in a calm, supportive space
The Intention
This isn’t about “fixing” yourself or doing it better.
It’s about letting go of pressure, recharging your energy, and reconnecting with yourself - while being supported by people who truly get it.
A gentle return to calm, clarity, and grounding.
