Event description

A great May Day Concert with a cast of "thousands" , headed up by:

Maurie Mulheron is a singer, multi-instrumentalist and playwright. Perhaps his best-known work is the musical-biography of Pete Seeger called "One Word...WE!" as well as an earlier show called ‘How Can I Keep From Singing’. Both have played in theatres and festivals around Australia. Maurie was able to collaborate with Pete Seeger on the script including visiting him in his home in upstate New York. Maurie has led numerous bands including ‘The Rattlers’ and ‘Just A Tad and Moz’  both with Pat Craigie, as well as doing performances on the life of Woody Guthrie and Phil Ochs. Maurie is very much a regular performer at the club and Festival. Fund for their song 'Mining Man', a protest song about Coal Seam Gas mining.

Maurie has just been invited to perform at this year’s prestigious, famous Great Hudson River Revival Folk Festival that Pete and Tosh Seeger started decades ago.
