Event description

MAY Dunedin Game Dev Meetup - How to Make Games and Influence Risk Factors

Join us for our MAY Meetup where we'll be joined by special guest, CODE's Regional Content Manager, Navi Brouwer.

Trying to sell your game right now is the most difficult it's ever been, but there are early choices that you can make to help bring down the risk that your game will be lost in the sea of recent releases.

Navi will start by trudging through the hard (to hear) stuff around discoverability and publisher trends, and then will provide some actionable suggestions that will help to increase your game’s chances of being found by its beloved audience.

This is a talk for not only new Indie teams, but anyone who is working (currently or in the future) on a game they hopefully will be releasing into the wild.

Navi Brouwer, CODE’s own Pōneke Wellington-based Regional Content Manager, has extensive experience working for tool and pipeline developers. Having previously worked with Wētā Digital x Unity, where they produced and project managed several pipeline tools to support both games and feature films, and as a producer for Dinosaur Polo Club and PikPok studios as a games tester, Navi brings a solid understanding of the path to shipping games.

Come by for this special presentation, a catch up with other local developers and show off what you've been working on - we invite you to bring along your projects to share, and bring your friends too - can't wait to see you all there!

For catering purposes and venue capacity you must register for this event.
